About

Hello, my name is Joanie, and I livetired...

I'm a rainbow haired, menopause mom of four who worked on comedy sitcoms in Hollywood before I became a breeder in Oregon. I'm saving up for my kid's therapy, one performance at a time.

I regularly produce & perform in Portland's comedy show "Spilt Milk: you'll laugh til you cry!”, and appear locally at Harvey's Comedy Club and Helium Comedy Club. I've performed in the Idaho Laugh Fest, the San Francisco Mutiny Radio Comedy Fest, Eugene's Women's Comedy Fest, and the Burbank Comedy Festival, and more.

I swore I wouldn't care about a clean floor the way my Mother did... and with the help of my four children, I have reached that goal.

I'm a college graduate with a degree in Television Writing from Loyola Marymount University and spent years working in Hollywood, from Assistant Casting for old game shows, to the same for TBS productions "Rocky Road" and "Safe At Home". I also worked with Michael Jacobs Productions on "My Two Dads" and the Disney/Henson Production "Dinosaurs" as a Script Goddess.  This involved staying up all night with sleepy, but funny, writers... just another experience that in some small way prepared me for sleepless nights with my own babies.

Following my dreamy husband to Portland in 1991 I added Preschool Teacher, Studio Photographer, Women's retreat author, Rose Festival Clown, Foster/Adoptive Mom, and Stand-up Comedian to my pile of laundry.
